Open a book and find your chapter

Choose Open book and select a DRM-free EPUB 2 or EPUB 3 file. ReadVeranda adds it to this browser’s library and opens the actual publication. The contents panel follows publisher chapter labels, and previous/next controls, keyboard navigation and supported touch gestures move through the book.

EPUB is a publication format, not a promise of one fixed page size. In a reflowable novel, text fits the available reading area. Font size, line spacing, margins and page appearance can change pagination; the saved reading location follows the content rather than a printed page number.

Choose a comfortable view

Supported reflowable EPUBs offer light, sepia and dark paper, typography controls, clean or paper-style layouts and compatible page transitions. Wider screens can show facing pages. Continuous scrolling switches off pagination effects, while reduced-motion preferences suppress unnecessary animation.

Publisher-designed fixed layouts and vertical writing may expose fewer controls. Ruby and basic vertical Japanese text have been checked with an authored fixture, but complex commercial publications still need compatibility testing. The interface language does not translate the book or force a new writing direction.

Keep your place and your thoughts

Bookmarks, highlights, notes and full-book search are available where the layout supports them. Your annotations and reading progress remain in this browser. Export notes or download a library backup before clearing storage. ReadVeranda does not convert other formats, remove DRM or synchronize your collection between devices.
