PDF reader online, without uploading your document
Keep the page as designed, and the document on your device.
Read the original pages
Select a PDF through Open book. ReadVeranda renders its pages locally with PDF.js, preserving the document’s text, images, orientation and page design. Fit to page, fit to width and zoom help with different screen sizes. The page field and optional thumbnails give direct navigation in longer documents.
Single-page, compatible spread and continuous-scroll layouts are available according to the reading area. Application light and dark themes change the surrounding controls; they do not recolor the PDF itself. This protects illustrations, diagrams and other original formatting.
Search and annotate where supported
A PDF with extractable text and suitable permissions supports search, passage selection, highlights and notes. Image-only scans remain readable, but ReadVeranda does not perform OCR. Selection is limited to one page at a time. Page bookmarks can still help when a text layer or annotation permission is unavailable.
If the PDF requires a password, enter it to open that document. The password is not saved. Document permissions are respected; the reader does not bypass restrictions or execute PDF scripting actions and interactive forms.
Return to your document
The local library remembers the PDF and reading position. Its original file is kept separately from editable library details. For offline access, wait until App & offline confirms readiness while connected, then use the same browser and website address. Keep independent backups: browser storage is not a recovery service or cloud account.
