Help and troubleshooting
Start with the least disruptive check. Make a backup before clearing any browser data.
A book will not open
Check that the file is an actual EPUB or PDF rather than a renamed archive, download page or ACSM license. Try the included sample to distinguish an application issue from a document issue. Re-download an incomplete file from its lawful source. DRM-protected EPUBs are unsupported; a password-protected PDF needs its password, which is not saved.
If a fixed-layout EPUB disables font controls or highlights, that can reflect its publisher-designed pages rather than an import failure. PDFs preserve original colors and typography; changing the application theme does not rewrite their pages.
Search or selection is unavailable
Use the book’s Search tool for its contents and the library search for metadata. A scanned PDF may lack extractable text; PDF permissions can restrict copying or annotations. Fixed-layout EPUBs can also have fewer reading tools. The reader keeps supported page navigation and bookmarks available rather than pretending a missing text layer exists.
Offline access or saving fails
Reconnect to the same website address, open App & offline and wait for confirmed readiness. Import the book into that browser before disconnecting. If storage is full or unavailable, keep the tab open, export what you can and free space carefully. Do not begin by deleting website data: that also deletes the library.
An application update may wait for an import or pending note save. Finish that operation before choosing Save & update now. If the problem persists, email support with your browser, document format and reproduction steps; omit private passages and passwords.
